Siete personas, siete trajes tejidos, siete bailarines, siete estructuras de madera que crean la imagen de un agujero. Un agujero negro en el medio y delante de él, un metrónomo. En el otro lado del vestuario, una secuencia de símbolos, construida por patrones (desde textiles hasta textos y lingüísticos). Los artistas de los dos lados muestran el cuerpo como un dispositivo plano para las escrituras e imágenes. Hay un potencial sugerido de combinaciones que crean varias imágenes: el frontal, el reverso y los perfiles constituyen un sistema de lenguaje. Me viene a la mente una representación lúdica de la dicotomía entre la lengua y la libertad condicional (Ferdinand de Saussure) como la construcción sistemática abstracta del lenguaje y su uso específico. Como lo abstracto y la danza concreta en este trabajo, “La sala del lenguaje o el lenguaje de la sala” unen lo humano y lo no humano, el uso métrico del tiempo y el emocional, el texto y el textil.

Seven persons, seven woven costumes, seven dancers, seven wooden structures all creating the image of a hole. A black hole in the middle and in front of it, one metronome. On the other side of the costumes, a sequence of symbols, constructed by patterns (from textile to texts to linguistic). Two sided performers show the body as a flat device for scriptures and images. There’s a suggested potential of combinations that create several images: the frontal, the back-side and the profiles constitute a language system. Comes to my mind a playful enactment of the dichotomy between langue and parole (Ferdinand de Saussure) as the abstract systematic construction of language and the specific use of it. As the abstract and the concrete dance in this work, “The room of the language or the language of the room” tie together the human and the not-human, the metrical use of time and the emotional one, the text and the textile.
