Realidad y ficción, lo horroroso y lo bello están en diálogo en esta pieza. “La realidad es más fuerte que el arte. Como artista, no quiero reflejar una realidad, pero sí quiero cuestionarla ”, escribe Sislej. En este trabajo, llamado "Una y otra vez", una orquesta de cuerdas, en respuesta a una señal del director de la orquesta, los músicos se ponen máscaras de pasamontañas negras. El miedo comienza a impregnar la habitación. Tocan Adagio para cuerdas de Samuel Barber, una pieza muy sensible. Este trabajo está relacionado con la guerra de Kosovo y las experiencias de identidad, nacionalidad, migración, ilegalidad e instituciones.
Reality and fiction, the horrific and the beautiful dialogue in this piece. “Reality is stronger than art. As an artist I do not want to reflect a reality, but I do want to question it” writes Sislej. In this work, called “Again and again,” on director’s sign of a string orchestra, the musicians put on black balaclava masks. Fear starts to permeate the room. They play Adagio for Strings of Samuel Barber, one of the most sensitive and beautiful music pieces in the world. This work is tied up with Kosovo’s war and experiences of identity, nationality, migration, illegality and institutions.
