Nelson Garrido is a Venezuelan artist in opposition to the existing governments in his country. Through photographs, Garrido invents worlds in order to photograph them. The dramatization of a scene, the actors and actresses achieve complete scenes where some objects can only exist there or the scene itself is an object. Garrido seeks through photographs that the image has even more durability as a thought. The artist found his own way of making a shamanic art with a camera, conjuring an object so that it is eternally an image, a negative, and then it can be conjugated by joining objects or contexts in which it would not normally exist. His photographs with Chavista iconography and people with Chávez masks playing different characters, including children, families and beauty queens.
