Wearing documents everyday life through photography and video, speaking of individual identity within private and public spaces, blurring the line between reality and fiction. In her masks inspired primarily by classical Greek tragedy, she explains how the mask works not so much to substitute one identity for another, but to erase the superficial aspects of physical appearance to reveal more fundamental truths. She works on a recurring basis with masks as protection for the user, by making their identities anonymous, thus allowing them to express their identity without restrictions. Wearing presents the use of masks questioning authenticity and how reality is manufactured.
