All the attention goes to the center of the image: carefully crafted ceramic masks outline the animality of the human body and appear in the border of the real. A poem above the images reads: “She offered them her flesh and bones. She set them in motion. She caught a fleeting glimpse of their presence.” It suggests a process of giving life to, of setting in movement. “Visitors” is set in the fables and fantasies of childhood stories, imaginary landscapes and oceans, wildlife, flora, fauna and mineral worlds (like that of ceramics).
