Carnaval-Capital-Copyright was the conclusion of the workshop Nuevos encuentros con lo transcotidiano at Platafroma Carnival 2019, which analyzed, among other things, the boundaries between the public and private spheres in the Colombian context and highlighted the problematic privatization of Carnaval de Barranquilla due to economic interests of a few. The workshop was a combination of contributions by Laura Inge, Paula García, Daniela Medina Poch and Juan Pablo Garcia Sossa (in alphabetical order). In this -short and spontaneous - video we play with the absurd and claim the carnival as a space of protest. The video documentation was filmed by Jaider Orsini.
