Light me a candle and tell me a timeless story,
Whisper your dreams of the world you long to see;
Now, as the nights grow long,
let love and friendship keep us strong, and
Come share a tale by the fireside with me!

Talk about the roads you’ve travelled, talk about the sun and rain,
All the insights and the mysteries, all the joy and all the pain,
Talk about the times you never quite believed you’d make it through,
And the days when you remembered no-one else is quite like you.

Tell me when you woke and realised life would never be the same,
Tell me when you owned the struggle, tell me when you learned your name.
Tell me how you found your power, how you faced your greatest fears,
How the vision deep within you grew and strengthened through the years.

All the names the haters called you, all the words that left a scar,
All the masks you cast aside to face the world as who you are,
All the times you lived your vision, made your friends and loved ones proud,
All the times you stood for justice, dared to speak your truth aloud.

May these tales of pain and victory, told in prose or sung in rhyme,
Lift our spirits in the darkness as we weave the web of time;
As the wheel of life keeps turning with each cycle of the moon,
Still the candle keeps on burning: brighter days will be here soon!

Light me a candle and tell me a timeless story,
Whisper your dreams of the world you long to see;
Now, as the nights grow long,
let love and friendship keep us strong, and
Come share a tale by the fireside with me!
