Dos agujeros rodean los ojos. Los ojos están abiertos y se pueden ver. Las texturas emergen de la cara como un nuevo tipo de cutis. Ya no es el espacio de lo real ya que Anastasia reclama el reino de los sueños. Le interesan las capas y los hilos del llamado real que se entrelaza con lo imaginario y lo simbólico. Al descubrir asociaciones de ensueño, la máscara se convierte metafóricamente en el umbral entre el ser interno y el externo. Cuando algo está oculto, se revela algo más. Esas máscaras apelan a la diversidad de las relaciones materiales entre la forma antropocéntrica de la cara y las formas del material.
Two holes surround the eyes. The eyes are open and can be seen. Textures surface from the face like a new type of cutis. It is no longer the space of the real since Anastasia claims the realm of dreams. She’s interested in the layers and threads of the so-called real that interweaves with the imaginary and the symbolic. Uncovering dream-like associations, the mask becomes metaphorically the threshold between the inner and outer self. When something is hidden, something else is revealed. Those masks appeal to the diversity of material relations between the anthropocentric shape of the face and the material’s shapes.
